How do I register my child?
You can register your child by calling (604-537-3444) or emailing the centre and making an appointment. Alternatively, we have an application on our website that you can fill out.
What is the Staff-Child Ratio for this centre?
In the Infant/Toddler room, there will be 1 staff for every 4 children.
In the 3 to 5 year old room, there will be 1 staff for every 8 children.
What are the dates that your facility will be closed?
The facility is closed:
- All statutory holidays, including Good Friday and Easter Monday.
- Weekends
- The last week of August & December 23rd - January 1st to organize and sanitize the center. Parents are urged to seek alternative childcare arrangement. Fees for these months will remain the same as the other months.
Is there a deposit required upon registration?
Yes. We require a deposit with your child’s registration. If you wish to withdraw your child, you must provide us with a one month’s notice, on the 1st day of the month (for example: Jan 1st – notice given; Jan 31st – last day, and deposit given). If appropriate notice is given, the deposit will be refunded to you on your child’s last day at our center.
Do you accept children on subsidy?
Yes, we will accept children on subsidy. If your subsidy payment has not gone through, you are required to cover these fees until the subsidy payment has been processed. It will be the parent’s responsibility to follow up with subsidy.
If we are planning a month long vacation, do we still have to pay daycare fees for that month to keep our spot?
Yes, we will not be able to reserve a spot for your child without receiving payment. If you are unable to pay, you must re-register upon your return if there are open spots available.

How do I prepare my child for all types of weather?
On Rainy Days

Can my child bring toys from home?
Children are not allowed to bring toys form home to play with. However, we do allow them to bring a special toy which helps them sleep. We keep it in the child’s cubby until nap time.
Does my child have to take a nap?
Every child needs to have a rest at nap time of at least ½ hour. After other children are napping, we will provide a quiet playtime area for your child.
What if my child is not potty-trained?
We will do our best to encourage your child to use the washroom on their own, and help you out with potty-training.
If my child is sick, can he/she still come to daycare?
If your child has any of the following symptoms please, keep them at home:
- Fever(37.5C/99.5F)
- Nausea or vomiting
- Rashes on the skin
- Rischarge from eyes
- Diarrhea or loose stool
- And any contagious virus
Does the child center staff administer medication?
Staff can give medication to child only prescribed medication by the doctor, and parent has to fill out authorized medication form. Medication should not be left in lunch boxes or cubbies. Medication should not be mixed in food, bottles or drinks.
Is there a dress code?
Clothing should be the type that can be easily managed. Weather permitting; the children will go out to the playground daily. Please dress them appropriately (i.e. boots, gloves, hats, scarves, etc.). Also, please mark all clothing with the child's first and last name. It's important the child wears clothing that launders easily due to these activities.
What are the discipline procedures at the center?
The children will be encouraged to discuss their feelings of anger with the teacher and/or peers. Absolutely no physical form of punishment is allowed. Positive role modeling and encouragement of appropriate behavior is used. Also, you can see our discipline policies in our parents agreement form.
Are there late fees for pick-up?
Yes. There is a late fee for pick-up after 6:00pm when our center closes. We charge $1.00 per minute until 7pm (first time), and $3.00 per minute until 7pm (second and ongoing times).
What will happen in the case of an emergency?
In the case of emergency, we will call you immediately asking you to come to the centre as soon as possible. If you don’t answer, we will phone your emergency contact person.
